We are recruiting on behalf of our client an Account Development Manager to join their UK client account management team. Maternity leave cover.
This is a successful online Travel specialist offering incredible discounted rates to their clients. Crucial to the role is knowledge of the travel industry - trends, rates, contacts etc., and a proven track record of success in an account management environment. The role is will be a mix of account management and elements of new business development, working to monthly targets.
You will be thinking strategically to grow existing and new partnerships, while developing strategic and commercial initiatives that move the business forward. Sourcing new customers, creating excellent pitches, presentations and proposals and negotiating to ensure a mutually beneficial deal is created.
Continually establishing new client relationships and building a strong rapport to enable you to deliver an excellent customer service. Producing accurate and timely paperwork in line with customer and company requirements and meeting weekly team and personal KPIs and monthly sales targets
Account Manager SKILLS:
- Demonstrable experience of working within a varied TRAVEL Account Manager role; Senior Sales / Wholesale Background / Inbound / Account Executive / Online Travel
- Experience of working within online travel business
- Experience of working within an account management role, specifically with xml partners
- Ability to negotiate costs and calculate percentages
- Ability to build great customer relationships across a wide range of stake-holders; including independent merchants, tour operators, agencies and travel related professional bodies
