Trendy lifestyle International Hotel Group is now on the look for a new GDM. You must be a very switched-on marketing professional, someone who knows all the tools to make it happens. The role is open for THAI and EXPAT applicants alike however you must be currently in Thailand.

Overall:

The goal of the Director of Marketing is to support the two key arms of our Marketing machine which is both offline & online.  To strategically maximize the exposure of our properties across all online distribution and communication channels to ensure increased room revenues, decreased operational costs, and optimal return on investment. The Director of Marketing will lead the strategy for guest communications, e-marketing efforts, and database marketing to: ensure brand consistency; enhance the traveler experience; and drive revenues and traveler satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

Business Results

  • Recognizes potential for increased revenues and recommends or takes appropriate action to realize increased revenue
  • Directs development of supporting analysis to evaluate results and business cases that support key recommendations
  • Identifies marketing channels and opportunities that will deliver maximum exposure to qualified travelers looking to travel into our properties in various countries 
  • Identifies best practices and opportunities to drive new, qualified travelers to discover and engage with our digital assets, enhance the user experience, increase the conversion of travelers to book direct, and exceed the expectations of online consumers  • Develops relationships with third party vendors to ensure the brand is marketed in the best possible placement with the latest, most accurate information. 
  • Analyzes and mines our guest databases to identify trends and opportunities to drive revenues and increase guest satisfaction scores 
  • Develops e-Commerce business objectives, goals, KPIs, targets, and segments at the brand and property level 
  • Monitors and reports key performance indicators and metrics against historical data and top market competitors 
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze campaign performance metrics, digital activity data and market research findings on a weekly basis, with the ability to immediately identify and react to changes; design test strategies to optimize results 
  • Make use of web analytics and market research tools to gauge campaign performance, spot trends and provide monthly reports to hotel leadership teams                    

 

Leadership & Execution

  • Media planning, execution and management with a focus on budget, ROI, performance metrics, through various digital marketing activities that include (but are not limited to) organic search (SEO), paid search (PPC), meta search, re-marketing, media buying, display, link acquisition, local search, and social media marketing; carried out in conjunction with partner and internal marketing team   
  • Works with internal teams not limited to other departments, but also within the marketing team. In addition all brand partners, website management partners, and third party distribution partners to ensure content is optimized across digital marketing channels, as well as relevant and engaging to our travelers 
  • Work with the marketing team on e-marketing and ecommerce strategies to ensure that the properties digital marketing plan, online ad spend, and web analytics are aligned with their business objectives, goals, KPIs, targets, and segments 
  • Identifies and qualifies key technology platforms, services, and partners (vendors) to help facilitate strategic revenue goals 
  • Works closely with internal team and key partner contacts, to cover at minimum: CRS, website CMS, OTAs, social media content, video & photography content and at the property level to ensure optimal use of resources and tracking of all core metrics and KPIs 
  • Improves business results/market share by developing and implementing new ways to promote the group while increasing revenue and profits and to complete all budget proposals and planning for each financial year 
  • Attend industry & property level functions and designated events to provide support, ensure guest satisfaction and promote future business 
  • Stay current on emerging technology, providers, and trends that could have a positive impact on hotel digital presence, revenue derived from digital efforts, and the overall performance of Kimpton digital marketing initiatives

 

Traveler Engagement

  • Leads the brand’s guest communications strategy to ensure brand consistency and enhancing the guest experience (new and existing) 
  • Monitors the top user review sites and reports on any trends that could potentially reflect negatively on the hotel and its online reputation 
  • Monitors and ensures data (and content) integrity (text and images) throughout all distribution channels 
  • Build online community and engagement with bloggers and influencers as a digital marketing tool

 

Employee Engagement 

  • Build positive working relationships with management at our properties 
  • Liaises with property contacts to provide support and guidance as needed 
  • Reaches across departments and is able to conjure collaboration to ensure positive results 
  • Assists with training programs as necessary

 

Learning & Applying Expertise

  • Reviews and analyzes market intelligence, web analytics, business intelligence, and related key performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities to generate additional revenue
  • Assists in the on-boarding and implementation process of new properties to our Central Reservations System 
  • Provides feedback on our vendors and support teams to ensure quality and efficiency are paramount   
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, problem solving and support training to subordinate to develop knowledge and skills This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Marketing 
  • At Least 10 Years of Market / Product or Business Development with minimum of 3-5 years of experiences in managing or leading team
  • Bachelor’s degree and above in Marketing/MBA or other related filed
  • Experience in business development in the travel/hospitality industry
  • Ability to lead across a variety of cultures would be highly regarded
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • Excellent in marketing & business development, negotiation & communication skills and leadership management
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills  

 

Package:

  • Salary up to 150000 Baht
